Education & Access

At Umoja Preventative, education is the foundation of community resilience. Our work focuses on:

  • Human Trafficking Prevention: We lead community workshops on how traffickers operate, teaching practical risk identification, warning signs, and safety strategies.

  • Peer-to-Peer Youth Education: We train cohorts of young people to become leaders who educate their peers, creating sustainable, youth-led safety networks across schools and neighborhoods.

  • Local Leadership Development: We equip community advocates to lead long-term prevention efforts from within their own spaces.

  • Bridging Access Gaps: Many children are left out simply because a school is too far away. We partner with local leaders and individuals to solve physical distance barriers and ensure children can safely access a classroom.

  • School-Based Safety Guides: We bring dedicated safety guides directly into local schools, delivering age-appropriate tools for student awareness and protection.
